What it is like for me to own a car

it is very expensive to own a vehicle. i have a truck. since i have a truck it sucks on gas mileage so i spend about an average of 70 dollars in gas a week(thats driving to school and work... not even when i go out and stuff). its also expensive because it is an old piece of crap and everything is falling apart. just 2 weeks ago my muffler and exhaust system fell off so that is going to cost alot of money.

on the other hand, it is much more convienent to have my own car. my parents dont have to waste their time taking me to work and school and everywhere else i go and i dont have to wait for a bus or take a taxi.

overall, i dont know what i would do with out my truck

What i like/dislike, what i've learned, what i want to learn

In this english class, i really enjoy the group work. i like it becuase it doesn't get boring and the time goes by a lot faster. i also find it more benificial because you get to join your ideas with other people ideas and i feel like i learn more.

I don't like how i have to refer to the silibus for readings because i tend to forget.

I want to learn how to write a good thesis.

i have learned a lot in this class. like writing papers and how to break a topic down to write a good essay.

My Favorite Vacation Spot

my favorite vacation spot would be Prince Edward Island. i like it because its not anything like east greenbush. the beaches there are impregnable. its nothing like i have ever been. there is so much to do. my favorite thing about it is the cliff jumping because i loveee cliff jumping.

what i want to do after college

after college, i hope to become a dental hygienest. but i also want to come back to school to take automotive. alot of people think thats weird but cars fascinate me. i work at a garage so im around them all the time and i love being around it. i want to learn how to work on cars because its so interesting. i also think its a good skill to have because when your car breaks it is extremely expensive and sometimes you cant trust garages. so if i knew what i was doing, it would save me money potentially.

SUNY Buffalo

This past weekend i went to visit my best friend at university at buffalo. i never really considered going to buffalo when i decide to transfer but after this weekend (seeing the campus, experiencing the football and rugby games, meeting tons of new people) it is definately my first choice. the only thing that makes me not want to transfer there is the snow. but i figured that once i got through the first winter there, the rest would be just the same. i dont prefer the snow but it doesnt bother me so i dont think that will be too too bad for me. it was exciting to get the real college expierence and it is something that i want to do next year. before i went there i was planning on staying at hvcc for 2 years but going there and seeing the campus and meeting everyone made me really want to go away there.

dental hygiene

It wasnt too long ago that i wanted to persue dental hygiene as a career. i was alway unsure as to what i wanted to do when i grew up and my mom had mentioned it and it interested me. i'm not really sure why it intersts me. i think it would be a good job for me because i am a very personable person. i can be extermely outgoing and i know that that would be a good quality to have for a dental hygienest. the program is really hard to get into at hudson valley so im nervous for if i dont get in because i dont really have a back up plan. if i dont get in then i think im going to go away to school at buffalo.

www.facebook.com is my favorite website. I spend a lot of time on it. I feel that it is a good way to keep intouch with people. Personally i know because my best frined went away to school and our scheduales don't match sometimes so we dont have time to call eachother or anything so we comment eachother on facebook. It's good because when we dont have much time you can still tell them what you need to. It's also good for meeting new people. you can meet people from your networks.

www.google.com is a good website because you type in whatever you want and you get thousands and thousands of articles. you can find anything at all on google. the only bad thing about google is that it comes up with every website so the things your reading may not be true. it also comes up with websites with fake information. so it can be unreliable at times because your expecting that the websites that come up are going to be accurate but that isn't always true.

www.wikipedia.com is not a good website because although some of the information maybe true, a lot of it might not be because anyone can change information to make it 'more accurate' but i think a lot of the time people are fooling around and type inaccurate information. this is bad for who ever uses this website because your assuiming that everything that comes up is going to be true but there is a good chance it isn't.

Essay Assignment Number Two

I'm not sure what I'm going to write about for the second essay yet. I haven't really heard any offensive words lately so I don't think I'm going to write about choice one. I many write about food because I feel like what you eat has an impact on everything-how tired you are, how moody you are, and how you feel all day long. I didn't grow up in poverty so I can't write about choice number three. I have a few favorite possessions so I might write about choice four. My favorite possession is probably my truck because it's all mine and without it I couldn't drive. It almost gives me freedom because without it I couldn't go wherever I wanted whenever I wanted.
